Glyndyfrdwy Station House & Porters' Lodge
Station House can comfortably accommodate six and The Porters' Lodge will take two. They may be booked separately or, if available, together to give accomodation for up to eight or private facilities for staff or grandparents etc. Both properties have recently been refurbished and furnished to a high standard.
My name is Stephen Middleton and in November 2010 I noticed Glyndyfrdwy’s station was for sale while travelling on the Llangollen Railway. It seemed such a special place that right away I made enquiries and purchased the property.
Yes, I like trains and the fact that steam trains stop at the station regularly as great, but there is so much more to the station than that. I determined to share it with others through letting it as a holiday property.
What makes it so special? We find that no matter what our problems may be, once we are in the peaceful valley we are at ease. The station is well off the main road so it is quiet. It truly is like stepping back fifty years. My daughter loves the butterflies in summer and skimming stones in the nearby river Dee. My wife enjoys the garden, the great pub nearby and the clean air. Me? Well even now I cannot help but stop what I am doing and rush to see the grand old trains.
We have put a lot of love in to this property and you will enjoy sharing some of our treasured possessions such as the Pullman chair and the tick of the station clock. Please look through this site, contact us if you have any questions and enjoy a break at this wonderful station.
